KOJI WATANABE is the Brand having “Haute Couture Maison” which is rare even Japan.
This brand was established in 1972 at GINZA by KOJI WATANABE and Mr. Jean-Paul Dunand, the GIVENCHY Paris ex-worker. After having established, this Brand have keeping worked abroad also.
And in 1984, KOJI WATANABE was introduced as a leading fashion designer in GINZA, Tokyo by the magazine, Paris Vogue. This was a feat!!! Since in those days, there were not so many Japanese people who could active all over the world.
In 1989, he has showed his garments at the Parliament House in Edinburgh, when he was invited to the Royal Collection of Scottish royal museum. He designed the garment for Princess Anne and he was a first designer in Japanese such as the experience.
From 2008, his daughter joined “Koji Atelier” and was an assistant for him.
Until today, they have been working energetically in Japan and abroad. And in this year 2015, they have done 2015-16 AW COLLECTION ‘s catwalk in Paris.
