Toyokuni Honda is a Sumi-e (Black Ink) painter. From traditional theme paintings to his original modern day theme he is able to create a diverse collection and the unique style of the Sumi-e fascinates everyone who sees his work. Besides Sumi-e, he also does woodblock, acrylic, pastel and pen painting, leaving him to have a wide range of various styles to express his artwork. In Europe he is especially known for his picture book. He also held a special art exhibition in America, showing his artwork is highly acknowledged across the world.
