Comme des Garçons C0.,LTD. owns 16 brands of which three of them would be introduced this week: ; Comme des Garçons (MONDAY), Comme des Garçons HOMME PLUS(WEDNESDAY), JUNYA WATANABE Comme des Garçons(FRIDAY).

Rei Kawakubo designed and produced this Men’s clothing brand, which took part in the Paris Collection. Her first show to introduce this line was held in Paris in 1984. The mainstream of fashion at the time was a bold shoulder line and a clean silhouette of the waist. Rei, on the other hand, set out to design a shoulder line with less impact and a soft touch. This figure was picked up by the media as ‘Men of Freedom’ and ‘Men of Anti-War’. Thereafter, Rei proposed structures of suit designs beyond imaginable, alternating the image of ‘men’s suit’ while still maintaining the overall basis of ‘suit’ fashion. Rei has consistently revealed phenomenal styles such as designing a knit work usually for the interior to be exposed on the exterior of the suit; combining unusual materials; adding intricate patchworks and frills, all which were similar to the vast variety of designing woman’s clothing. Most of the materials were from Japan.
