As we near the end of the year, we begin to see lights and hear music decorate the towns with Christmas cheer. There are a lot of good movies featuring this special night.
Some movies are fun and great for livening up a party, while some touch us deeply and quietly, like snow falling silently and collecting on the ground. Let us know what Christmas movie you recommend, and don’t forget to tell us your favorite part about it.
Only Lovers Left Alive
Directed by Jim Jarmusch
Beautiful humor!
This is an Adam-and-Eve story from Jim Jarmusch, a director that I’ve always followed and admired.
This story will open your curiosity in so many different areas—music, art, literature, civilization. It will change your view of the world.
I recommend watching this story of never-ending love on the holy night of Christmas.

The movie I like watching on Christmas is Home Alone, an old standard.
Macaulay Culkin plays a boy who is left behind by his family on Christmas day, when they leave for a family vacation.
Burglars come into the house while he is alone, and this little boy faces them with courage. It is exciting but really cute and funny, and it never gets old however many times I watch it. It is a movie that both kids and adults can enjoy.
I wonder, however, what Macaulay Culkin is doing now?
Anyway, now I want to go watch it again this Christmas.

I recommend Home Alone.
This movie is about a boy who wishes his family would disappear. Kevin is eight years old and lives in Chicago. He was supposed to go to Paris with his family for the holidays, but on the day of departure, a little accident causes Kevin to be left home all alone.
At first he enjoys the solitude, away from his noisy family. But when two burglars plan to break into the McCallister’s, Kevin has to protect his home with traps laid out throughout the house using toys, furniture and other items. The scene where he battles the burglars is very exciting.
This is not a love story, but it is a great way to have fun on Christmas.

Christmas is a wonderful time when the towns are beautifully decorated with lights!
The movie that I recommend for this special night is A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey. The main character is Scrooge, a cruel, greedy and misanthropic old man who is visited by the ghost of his old friend and business partner, Marley, bound in heavy chains. Marley tells Scrooge that he will be visited by three spirits of the Past, Present and Future, and that his life will end differently if he changes his ways. Jim Carrey does an amazing job voicing all three spirits!
This movie teaches us that life is connected from today to tomorrow, and eventually to the end.

There are many great Christmas movies, but one that leaves a lasting impression is The Nightmare Before Christmas, written and created by Tim Burton!
Jack is the King of Halloween Town where every day is Halloween. One day he stumbles into Christmas Town. The movie follows Jack as he becomes captivated by Christmas and comes up with a plan.
You will never forget this world that is comical, eerie and cute, all at once.
